The term "video" used to mean only one thing: television. Most people didn't know the term until the availability of videocassette recorders and camcorders. Even then, video is still just one cable connection plus the audio connection. So, it's fairly simple for most everyone, and, in reality, it's provided some reasonable results.
Officially it's composite video, but where does that fit into the whole scheme of video quality? Or, in other words, where does composite video reside in the video food chain, as I call it? That brings us to the point of this article: identifying the type of video connections that will provide one with the best quality.
